What Motivates You?

Every week I have the privilege to teach Group Fitness classes at 5:30am and 6:00am three times a week. Even though I have scaled down to 3 classes a week, they area a huge part of my life. Why? Well, it's dark outside, it's quiet and for one hour. . .there are 30-50 other fitness freaks just like me up at the crack of dawn to get a good, loud and music-filled workout ON! I teach BodyPump, RPM and on occasions CXWorx through Les Mills.  I love these formats and I hope that it shows when I am teaching. I don't care if there are 5 people or 50 in class. . .I love teaching and watching people commit to an intense hour long workout.

I have been teaching early morning classes for over 8 years and it STILL amazes me to see people walk in, get their equipment ready, take time to say "hello", work H A R D in class and leave with a huge smile on their faces! I love the stories they share with me before and after classes, how the classes have changed their lives and how they encourage others to fit too! Hats off to the early morning risers that fill my classes week after week. I am truly honored and blessed to have such a great following of fitness freaks! Keep going and thank you for the #motivation!


Nicol Hodges

Nicol Hodges aka "Nic" is fitness professional (NASM, CPT/PES) and product designer living in San Diego, CA. Nicol's athletic background started in her hometown of St. Charles, MO where she earned her 400m state ranking 3 years in a row. Later, at the University of MO, Columbia she earned 8-Big 12 Track and Field titles and a championship title. Nicol currently continues her love for running by competing in local and national running events.
