What Motivates You? . . . Chicken Legs Anyone?

What motivates you? What motivates me. Well, if you don't mind, I am going to be a bit vain today because you have to be proud of SOMETHING you were born with. . .right? Well, today, my legs are what motivates me. For y e a r s. . .I have been made fun of for being a "toothpick of a girl" and it always starts with my legs. I have fat knees, little legs and big ankles. . .oh. . .along with those big things we call feet that are attached at the end. I hated wearing skirts or dresses growing up but I did what I was told. Boys were the worst, they would go straight to the legs and rip me apart, but I got through it.

It wasn't until I was in high school and started to run. . .and EAT. . .and run. . .and EAT and gain a little muscle to wrap around my bones. I started to like my legs even more because they got strong enough to get me around the track like a cheetah. It wasn't until my second year of college when people started to take notice. . .like. . .the other species we call man. . .yeah, that's when I started to show a little more leg. Don't tell my parents...ok? LOL!

Running and squats are what made my legs what they are today. Now that I have incorporated lunges, jumps and lateral resistance training to the mix, they are stronger then ever! I do love my legs and I feel blessed to have such strong, lean legs that have stood the test of time.  I can still move and groove after 44 years of wear and tear. I can't wait to see where these legs take me 44 more years from now!
