To feel 20 when you are. . .well. . .when you are not! Sometimes it pains me to tell someone I am 44 years old but when I beat a few of the 20 something runners in a 5K or 1/2 marathon, do more push-ups or crunches in a group training session and at times, get carded for being under age, I have to dust my shoulder off and thank GOD for running and fitness. The card thing hasn't happened in a while but IT HAS HAPPENED!
Not too many people enjoy the aging process and beauty companies spend millions marketing to our aging population. Some still believe that there is a fountain of youth in a bottle but there really isn't. Daily exercise and eating the right foods ARE the fountain of youth whether you want to believe it or not.
Did you know daily exercise can take nearly 10 years off your age? For me, I have to move and stay active. I do not want to just "watch" my girls grow up, I want to watch and actively be a part of their lives. It's great that I can run with my oldest daughter, kick the soccer ball around with my youngest and if I'm lucky, ride my bike with my husband. Being active, mobile and being at your best shouldn't stop just because you are getting older. So, remember 30 minutes to 1 hour of daily exercise PLUS healthy eating will drop weight, reshape your body and make you feel like a kid again (or close to one). So get moving so we can play together!
