PUSHING THROUGH

I can not BELIEVE I made it to Monday, August 18, 2014! Last week was a challenging week for my body. Running with the high school XC team twice a day, then hitting the gym the same day I returned from camp to teach classes and meet with clients.  I think I was delirious by Saturday afternoon at the IDEA Fitness Expo! I remember talking to other professionals and at times I couldn't put two sentences together. UGH!  It was tough but I did it and if I can do it. . .anyone can!

You never know what your body can do until you step outside of your comfort zone and try something new.  I remember sitting in my camp room Tuesday night staring at my very sore legs.  I had mentally given up.  That second run on Tuesday night was so hard that I had to walk the last 10 minutes of the run. . .UPHILL!  I was so disappointed in myself and at that moment, I was thinking. . .Wednesday morning is not going to happen.  I am too old for this and what am I trying to prove?

Luckily, one thing I did not allow myself to do was to talk negative "out loud"! I was not going to put it in the universe and follow it up with a thousand excuses or complaints.  I kept it to myself, stretched REALLY good that night and when I got up the next day I said to myself "I CAN DO THIS" and after a crazy prayer to God asking Him to give me the strength!  You know what? Wednesday's run was the best run I had that week.  I walked away from the run stronger than ever! That same day, we headed back to San Diego, I taught a class that night, 3 the next day and 2 each day after that.  It was a bit painful but I was so mentally strong, it didn't matter.  I wanted to make sure I got to TODAY with a smile on my face and ready to take on a new week and I am!

Remember, push the negative thoughts OUT OF YOUR HEAD and NEVER let them out of your mouth.  The Universe or whatever you believe in listens to you and will give you what you ask for.  So, ask wisely, stay focused and PUSH THROUGH!
