Moving in a Different Direction

Many of the exercises that we do are done in what trainers call the sagittal plane.  The sagittal plane is a plane of motion that separates our body into right and left sides.  Movement in the sagittal plane include flexion (bending movement) and extension (straightening movement).  When we do not exercise outside of this plane our hips, lower back and knees become weak and injury can occur.  The video below is a way to move you out of your sagittal plane, prevent injury and just have fun! Let's MOVE!

Depending on your fitness level 3 sets of 8 OR 3 sets of 12 will give you a good lower body workout.  If you get low, use your arms and jump, you have a nice full body workout.  Enjoy!
