Yes, I'm a 'girl' runner and I'm gonna talk about it
I thought I would take the liberty to continue blogging about men due to Father's Day this past weekend. You don't have to be a dad to read this and I will keep it short and sweet so you don't get bored. Women LOVE men who take care of themselves. There are so many women out there running and going to the gym mainly to check out the guys. So, if you ARE a father, Father's Day is a good reminder to have on the calendar to get your prostrate checked out. . .if you are NOT a father, the date marked on this blog is a good reminder to get your prostate checked out! LOL! No one wants to mention it but I will.
Even though most cases are not recognized until later in life around 65 years of age, there can be rare cases (just a few) under the age of 40 years of age. If you are not close to being 65 years of age, that's good but in order to prevent a diagnoses later, you need to take care of yourself NOW! There will be about 241,740 new cases of prostate cancer diagnoses in 2012. About 28,170 men will die of prostate cancer and 1 man in 6 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime (American Cancer Society).
